Colts announce 2026 preseason opponents

The Indianapolis Colts announced on May 14 their three opponents for the 2026 National Football League preseason.

The announcement is important for fans and ticket holders as it outlines the team’s matchups leading into the regular season. The preseason schedule gives players and coaches an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming year, while also allowing fans to see new talent in action.

According to the team, the Colts will begin their preseason on Thursday, Aug. 13 with an away game against the New England Patriots at 7:30 p.m. The following week, they will host the Atlanta Falcons at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. The final preseason game will also be a home matchup against the Detroit Lions on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 3 p.m.

In total, Indianapolis will play two of its three preseason games at home and one away. For the regular season, they are scheduled for eight home games and nine away games this year—all home contests taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium.
