Attorney General Todd Rokita announced on April 28 the launch of IN Fuel Watch, a new online portal designed to provide real-time gasoline prices at more than 4,600 gas stations across Indiana.

The initiative aims to give Indiana residents transparent access to current fuel prices during a declared energy emergency. By offering up-to-date information, the portal is intended to help families make informed decisions and ensure fair treatment at the pump.

The website allows users to search, filter, and sort gas stations by price, city, or name. It displays live statewide metrics such as the current average price and changes since the suspension of certain taxes began. Stations are marked with color-coded indicators: green for significant price drops compared to April 8 levels, yellow for moderate changes, and red for any increases.

“Hoosiers deserve clear, accessible information about gas prices in their communities,” said Attorney General Todd Rokita. “IN Fuel Watch gives you the ability to check local prices and see how they compare across the state. We know every penny matters right now and are committed to making sure you are treated fairly at the pump during this time.”

Rokita said his office will enforce Indiana’s Deceptive Consumer Sales Act and price-gouging laws if retailers fail to pass along savings or charge excessively high prices. He also acknowledged that state laws regarding gas station pricing during emergencies can be confusing but stated that his office has worked to clarify these issues through its legal team and technology staff.

Chief Technology Officer Sreenath Bangaru expressed pride in his team’s rapid development of IN Fuel Watch: “We’re proud of how quickly our team built and launched IN Fuel Watch. This tool not only gives Hoosiers real-time transparency into gas prices across the state but also sends a clear message to retailers: our office is closely monitoring the situation.” The public can access IN Fuel Watch at https://infuelwatch.com/ or file complaints about suspected price gouging at indianaconsumer.com.
